Hughes Net CEO, Pradman P. Kaul allows customers to suffer...

(Hughes Net. CEO, Pradman Kaul, pictured in this photo for "Spacenews." Kaul is the leader of the satellite internet provider Hughes Net, which seems to "space out" when it comes to providing actual service for the money. But he's one of many "fat" and happy CEO's whose financial success does not rely on customer satisfaction. And the FCC has little or no interest in raising any alarms as to the potentially criminal business practices artfully done at Hughes net.  http://www.spacenews.com/satellite_telecom/111117-hughesnet-wildblue-subscriber.html.)

Hughes net, a leader in corporate tyranny is being run by a man named, Pradman Kaul. It appears Mr. Kaul has some serious problems with creating a fair playing field for his customers.

I'm sure his background is in "how much money can I get" business practices as if this the only mark of success.

Success was once considered by how many customers a company could keep, not how many they could scam.

But the illustrious Mr. Kaul, who seems to get awards from different organizations, must not have these people doling out the praise, on his list of customers.

Why?

Because this is the most terrible company since Microsoft. They are in it to win it and the prize is every dime they can pickpocket from their customers.

Watch President Obama will hold him up as an example of good business practices. We know that Obama likes anyone who will shift some dough or false praise his way.

What are wrong with these people that money obviously doesn't buy?

They can't be happy to rip off people everyday can they?

It appears so my friends. If you have trouble it is not because of the person you have from customer support or tech support, it is these fish slurping up the worms at the top of the corporate food chain.

I personally would like to offer Mr. Kaul and associates, all the money left in my pocket at this time. It appears they need it more than I, because I am NOT out ripping people off or vying constantly for an extra buck. LOL

Pradman P. Kaul – Chief Executive Officer and President of
Hughes Communications, Inc. (HCI)
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HNS)
Grant A. Barber – Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
T. Paul Gaske – Executive Vice President
Bahram Pourmand – Executive Vice President
Adrian Morris – Executive Vice President
Dean A. Manson – Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary
Thomas J. McElroy – Chief Accounting Officer
Deepak V. Dutt -- Vice President, Treasurer, and Investor Relations Officer
Cleo V. Belmonte – Assistant Secretary
Andrew D. Africk – Director
O. Gene Gabbard – Director
Jeffrey A. Leddy -- Director
Lawrence J. Ruisi – Director
Aaron J. Stone – Director
Michael D. Weiner – Director

The FCC lead by this man, with the uncomfortable smile, Julius Genachowski, does nothing to stop these practices. His leadership brings a bad name to leadership, but then we US citizens are used to being duped by the political types.

This situation is no different, I'm afraid.

Lay on the complaints but don't waste too much time as you have "Hughes Net" internet service and it will take forever with their downloading speeds....LOL

    1. Is anyone interested in a class action suit this company? I’m moved to another state and tried to cancel my service. They wouldn’t cancel my service, they would only suspend. I have now moved and my internet is provided with my rent. So here I go again and try to cancel my service ( they are not even available here) and I was told I would still have to buy out my contract. I’m still holding because I demand to speak to the CFO!!! Now the poor rep is trying to get me to a supervisor. I don’t think it’s going to happen. We need to come together and do a class action lawsuit

    2. I would gladly join in! I cancelled my service last October 2019 to go with another service provider they still charged me for 2 months after that. It took me almost 4 months to get a credit from my cc company. Thankfully I kept VERY good documentation. However after the cc credited my account they sent me to a collection agency. I sent ALL my documentation to them and they dropped the case. Now I get another letter from a DIFFERENT credit collection agency. So looks like they will continue to keep harassing me for money I do not owe!!! I’m about to write the CEO and send ALL my documentation to him. I’m So OVER this company. I was a very faithful customer for over 10 years always paid my bill on time. Was no longer in a contract with them and switched to another company for better service and they have not stopped harassing me since. So very Sad!

  2. I was hooked up with Hughes Net in April. I cancelled service on 5/31 due to poor internet service. Hughes Net has charged us approx. $470 (internet service for 45 days). I was not told by customer service that there was a 2 year contract on the service. I'm told that it is in the fine print of form we signed AFTER equipment was installed. I have to send back equipment which means that I must climb onto our roof to get transmitter from the satellite dish. This is not safe for us. I am a 57 year old woman; my husband is 70. We are both on disability. Removal of equipment should be the responsibility of the provider. Hughes Net needs to tell customer at the time customer calls for installation about the 2 year contract. It is sneaky putting it fine print on form that we signed AFTER equipment is already installed. In addition, charging $88 per month for internet service is ludicrous. I'm now paying $75 for internet AND phone service. Hughes Net needs to shut down!

    3. I am in the exact same situation. I'm 56 years old, disabled, and recently widowed. Had to sell my vacation home because I can't pay for it on one income. They expect me to climb up on my roof! How does fine print go into effect after a contract is signed!? Their affiliate WeConnect has dodged going to my house for three days this week, citing that their technicians have been assigned to other locations. I waited all day for two days, and missed two days of work. This is the third day and I'm sitting here writing letters and online complaints. They are not getting one red cent out of me if WeConnect doesn't get that equipment off the house I no longer own. I'm telling everybody. Don't use HughesNet. They are the worst company on the planet.

  3. We have been disrespected and treated as though we the customer are "trying to get over" on them when all we want is customer service and issue taken care of. It has been a nightmare! We have spent hours on the phone much of that time on hold so they can transfer us to the next person so we have to go over it all again. They have not helped us not credited us what they promised. They instead keep demanding money and threatening our credit. We didn't even have internet active and they still tried telling us we owed them??? Horrible service, horrible company... Don't get Hughes Net. Nothing but problems with no help. Our story goes on and still no help.

    3. I am a victim off this too. This company is horrible, they continue to try to take money from my account after I cancelled it in November they then refund me it and then the next month take it out again. Customer service sucks and continue to state they cancelled my account but will not provide me with a letter stating this.

  4. I have won a judgement against HughesNet and if someone will help me come up with who the sumbags bank with I would love nothing more than to obtain a garnishee order and tie up their bank account. I tried calling to get my money out of them and the morons put some idiot biddy on who never did understand they owed me money and could care less. I have judgement against them but need someone's help in locating their bank. If you can help me please email me at t_treadway@yahoo.com or call 205 454 3153 I will forever be grateful.

  5. The ONLY reason I use HughesNet is because we live about 10 miles outside of Louisville, Kentucky and have no other option - no DSLs available, no cable (get our DirecTV service via satellite, which is another story...) I was sent a HughesNet Customer Survey this week and here is what I wrote:Bandwidth limitations make Hughesnet only marginally functional - we have smartTVs that we can't use, streaming services that we can't access, can't make adequate use of iCloud, and are constantly having to adjust our usage because of it. For instance, we have to think long and hard before playing a video. Have tried both daily and monthly allowances and both are a nightmare. Just today, we accidentally left one laptop on - which was in hibernation mode - and awoke to find that our ENTIRE monthly allowance is gone. All gone. ONE DAY INTO THE NEW CYCLE!! Token purchase is extremely expensive for what you get. Beyond frustrating.
The service itself, when working, is NOT fast. I have several grown children who live in other cities who have service that leaves HughesNet in the dust. While 2 live in large cities - Baltimore and San Francisco, the 3rd lives in the tiny town of Mishawaka, IN. Yet his service is FAR superior to mine.
Finally, it has to be said that your customer service sucks. For instance, my bill isn't due until late in the month - yet auto pay withdraws payment on the 9th!! This is usury - you are withdrawing my money 2 weeks early and using it for no purpose other than your own gains. Yet, when I tried to discontinue autopay for that reason, I was informed that if I did so, I could NOT pay my bill on-line. You, an internet service provider, does not offer the option of paying on-line. I said, fine, send me a paper bill then. Oh, but here's the rub - if I opt for a paper bill, you are going to charge me $5 MORE per month to do so. To print out paper that probably costs 1 cent and drop in the mail - with bulk postage, that's probably 20 cents. MORE USURY.
If I had ANY other option at present besides Hughesnet, I'd take it. Any option, even if not optimal, would be preferable to Hughesnet. I live about 10 miles outside of Louisville so we don't have the option of getting our internet service via cable - or believe me I would. Google Air is exploring Louisville as a possible market. I'm watching that closely and would sign with them the moment they were available.
My motto is: Anything but Hughesnet - and I say that to everyone I know...

  6. I just spent over an hour today with Hughes Net customer service trying to end service that I was not told I was in a contract for. Furthermore, they did not tell me that I was not able to use gaming on their system. I have called several times because we could not stream movies and the service only provides very slow surfing activities. It is not fair that your company is not upfront with it's customers and tell the truth. If I tell you I need my family to be able to stream movies and play online gaming don't tell me if I upgrade that will work. I spoke to a supervisor Raul who not able to provide me with any support and then told me I have to pay a cancellation fee for something that does not even do what they said it would do. I am disappointed and would never recommend this company to anyone.

    1. I had the same problem. After much frustration I wrote the corporate office CEO Pradman Kaul and it took about two weeks and I spoke to the assistant to president Mr. William and he heard my dispute and agreed to wave the termination fees leaving 0 balance owed to hughesnet. Very happy now..this is my suggestion write your dispute to the CEO of the company and you will have a better outcome than dealing with the folks in customer service and their supervisors. 9. In November 2016 I contracted with Hughes Net so that I could run my wireless cameras. The salesperson I spoke to assured me that I could run my cameras with their service. Since this is a vacation home, I had a narrow window to schedule installation. The installer came late that evening and the cameras did not work when he left.
I worked on the issue for five of my first 10 vacation days. No luck.
I worked on it again in December and the end of January. No luck.
Today we called to cancel the service. Unbelievable. ONE HOUR ON THE PHONE. We have to pay the cancellation fee. Unbelievable. I guess this company does not really care.
I really wish the telephone calls were recorded. If anyone had listened to what I was told, they would KNOW that I was lied to from the beginning.

  11. I was also misslead in thinking Hughes net was good but I just plain on stopping my service the day my contract ends. Anyone thinking about using them forget it . Go to a Cellphone provider's Hot spot it's faster than Hughes after the hi-speed runs out it's 3G speed . I compared them the slow side of 3G is the same as the fast side of the Hughes at about the same price you compare it to find out

  12. hughsnet lies and recently cathy smith a supervisor told me she did not care my internet and phone service did not work, even after I told her both my husband and I have medical issues and needed or phone back on, she said she did not care. the technician came out after 7 days without phone and internet service , he said that lighting strike told out the internet pole and the phone and internet. I am contacting the president of hughnet and well intend to have her fired. they also said I had to pay $125,00 for service tech to come out, I will not pay this due to lighting strike took out both modems , not my fault, I also had the tech take the fried modem for the phone because of our medical issues we cannot have any tell us they don't care and take 1 week to get things fixed.
we are veterans and I get tired of people thinking they can _ _ _ _ on people and get away with it.

  13. I had service with Hughes Net at an apartment. The service was horrible but it was all I could get at that building. I bought a place and moved out, cancelled my service 11/27/2018. Someone moved in to my old apartment about two weeks later. A few months later bills started showing up again. I called and cancelled a second time. I got a call this morning and they said they had my ex husband on the line and he was trying to cancel my service as he had been paying a bill for service that went to nowhere since April. To me that is fraudulent behavior. I called to cancel a third time and they said they would close out at the end of the billing cycle on 1/17/2020. I insisted they do it today. They said they were going to send me a final bill and boxes to send back the modem etc. to an apartment I haven't lived in in a year. If I don't return a modem they will charge me $300.0+ dollars. This madness has got to end.

  15. I reported hughesnet to the better business bureau and nothing was done.I think if there are more and more people who can file a complaint or even a scam, we can take them down. My parents are also paying a hundred dollars just to surf the net and the internet sucks so bad,
I would like for all of you if you can to submit something to the better business bureau. This company is a scam and they will suck out all the money they can get. I never signed a termination contract and nor have I ever seen a fine print about me having to pay a termination fee. This is very upsetting.

this is to file a complaint.
    https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started

i would also report as a scam because not once have I seen a fine print,https://www.bbb.org/scamtracker/us/reportscam

  16. I am currently on the phone with management after 6.5 hours waiting!..no exaduration Their service sucks and I would not recommend them to anyone. They have significantly overcharged me for my last bill stating that my service was prorated..even though it's been the same amount since I enrolled with them 4 month ago.
Plus they are trying to charge me a fee of $355 + $190 to terminate my account early..even though I was told early termination fee was supposed to be $10/mon for the month remaining on the termination.
After trying to get in touch with upper management I'm told that no one is available. I am so upset! I will be contacting the BBB about this shady company!

  17. Hughnet is horrible when I started out my monthly bill was 39.00, it is now 107.00 and I have had no changes to my service since I had it installed in 2014. I have to say I'm no surprised that the CEO is of India background I find most of those people money hungry bastards.

  20. I had documented disrupted service for a month. They issued me a month credit. Their service was so bad, I finally was able to get another provider in rural Illinois.I downgraded my service to 10 GB a month and when they did that they wiped out my 138 tokens! They were not supposed to do this. Roughly $400 value. I have escalated spent at least 20 hours on the phone with them and each time they either a) say a supervisor will call be back - never happens or b) after an hour or more on hold going back and forth, they disconnect me. I willing to do anything to get back at these people. I only kept the service when I downgraded because I need a backup as I work from home.

  21. I had Hugesnet from 2014 to 2021. In nov it stopped working. I called 3 times for service. The first time, I mentioned my equipment was outdated. They said they would send new indoor equipment and aomeone to fix my problem. I got the eqipment but no technician. I calle dtwice more. I finally got a new provider. I called to cancle. They gave me a run around. said they would send a tech guy. When I insisted on cacelling they said there would be a $400 cancelation fee since I had a new contract with the new equipment which was never installed! nor was I told this at the time. I called my credit card comapny and stopped payments. Had to get new cards. I will write to CEO next.
